Hand-cast from solid brass, this compact pahana stands 15 to 30 cm tall with a circular drip tray, slender staff, and star-shaped wick tray holding multiple cotton wicks fed by coconut oil.
Fully manual with no electrical parts, several flames can be lit at once by different dignitaries during a ceremony.
Used at wedding poruwa ceremonies, homecomings, almsgivings, housewarmings, shop openings, and New Year rituals where a hanging lamp is impractical.
Also placed on puja tables, in meditation rooms, and at Vesak and Poson observances.
Why Choose This Product
- Brass Construction: Made of Brass for durability and reliable rental use.
- Table Top Size / Capacity: Sized for the typical professional or event use case.
- Key Specifications: Cast brass table-top pahana with central staff, multi-wick tray and circular drip base, typically 15-25 cm tall with traditional Sinhalese motifs (kukula / dharma chakra / bird forms).
- Multiple Wick Spouts: Star-shaped tray holds several cotton wicks so multiple guests can light flames together during opening ceremonies.
- Traditional Motifs: Cast brass detailing such as kukula (rooster), hansa (swan), dharma chakra or flame finials reflect Kandyan-era artistic heritage.
- Drip Tray Base: Wide circular base catches oil overflow and gives the lamp a stable footprint on tables, pedestals or poruwa platforms.
