Our own delivery fleet (island-wide)

Bike, three-wheel, lorry, or heavy lorry: we pick the vehicle that fits your gear and deliver anywhere in Sri Lanka with our own team. No third-party couriers, ever.

Same-day Colombo & suburbs

Our own riders deliver same-day across Colombo and the immediate suburbs for orders confirmed early in the day. The fastest, most reliable option for Zone 1/2.

Self-pickup (free)

Collect from our Colombo warehouse: No. 113/28, Dr. NM Perera Mawatha, Colombo 08. No delivery fee. Bring your NIC and proof of the payment used to book.

Delivery & on-site operator

We deliver, set up, and (optionally) supply a trained technical operator for the rental window. Recommended for video walls, projectors, and live-event packages.

How we calculate your rate

Delivery is handled entirely in-house by our own team and vehicles, no third-party couriers. Every rental is rate-quoted in real time from three inputs:

Destination: your town or postcode sets the road distance from our Colombo hub.
Your gear: the size, weight and number of items decide which vehicle fits: bike, three-wheel, lorry, or heavy lorry.
Round trip: the charge always covers both delivery and collection, because rentals come back to us.

Charge = road distance × the per-km rate for the vehicle that fits your gear × 2 (delivery + collection). The calculator above reflects the exact rate you'll see at checkout. Add items to your cart, enter a town, and you'll see each suitable vehicle ranked from cheapest to largest, pick the one that suits you and proceed to checkout.

Delivery FAQs

What time will my delivery arrive?

For Colombo (Zone 1) we deliver between 9 AM and 8 PM on the booked day. Your rider will message you on WhatsApp 30-45 minutes before arrival. For outstation, our own team provides a 1-2 day window. Troy will share live updates once it's out for delivery.

Can I collect from your warehouse instead?

Yes, self-pickup from No. 113/28, Dr. NM Perera Mawatha, Colombo 08 is free. Pick the "Self-pickup" method in the calculator. Bring your NIC and the card / proof of payment used to book.

How do returns work?

You can either drop the gear back at our warehouse, or schedule a return-pickup with the same rider that delivered. Return charges are quoted up-front in the rental invoice. The refundable security deposit is released within 24 hrs of inspection.

Do you deliver outside Sri Lanka?

No, Rentitem.lk delivers within Sri Lanka only, using our own team and vehicles. Foreign and non-resident customers are welcome to rent; you complete enhanced verification (a passport plus a higher refundable deposit or a Sri Lankan resident guarantor). What if my address is hard to find?

Drop a Google Maps pin in the "delivery note" field at checkout, or share it with Troy on WhatsApp. For event venues with restricted access, message us at least 4 hours before your delivery slot so we can coordinate with security.
