About this operator

The Certified Computer Network Engineer sets up and manages networking infrastructure for events and corporate functions. This includes configuring WiFi access points for event venues, running wired network connections for equipment stations, managing internet connectivity and bandwidth allocation, and providing on-site IT technical support throughout the event. Network engineers are essential for events requiring reliable internet access — conferences, exhibitions, corporate events with online registration systems, live streaming setups, and events with multiple networked devices.

This is our senior professional tier - capable of serious commercial event networks, multi-site Wi-Fi, and corporate IT support. We do not position this operator as an industry expert or award-grade specialist. For enterprise data-centre engineering, ISP-grade backbone deployments, or carrier networks, please engage an independent industry specialist directly.

Frequently asked

Does the network engineer bring their own equipment?
Network engineers provide labor only. WiFi access points, switches, cables, and network equipment are rented separately.
How many devices can the event WiFi support?
Depends on the access points and bandwidth available. A typical setup can support 50–200 concurrent devices. For larger events, multiple access points can be configured.
Can the engineer set up a separate guest network and equipment network?
Yes. The network engineer can configure separate VLANs or networks for guests and event equipment to prevent interference.
What internet speed do I need for my event?
For standard events with WiFi for attendees, 20–50 Mbps is sufficient. For live streaming events, a minimum of 20 Mbps upload speed is recommended. The engineer can advise on requirements based on your event type.
What happens if the venue internet goes down?
The engineer can set up mobile hotspot failover using 4G/LTE as a backup connection. This requires advance booking and a data plan.
What is the standard coverage duration?
Standard booking is 8 hours. Overtime is charged at 150% of the hourly rate.
What is the minimum rental period?
1 day minimum.
Do travel charges apply?
